Website development for businesses that need the site to bring in work

Most redesigns get judged on how they look on launch day. We build sites Google can crawl from the first hour, that load quickly on a phone, and that count every call, form and order.

AdCrowd designs, builds and rebuilds websites for e-commerce brands, clinics and service businesses, with SEO structure, page speed and conversion tracking in place before launch. When we moved a Hamilton, Canada paving company off an outdated HTML site, organic and map inquiries tripled within 60 days. A data-led redesign for retailer ChenOne cut checkout abandonment by more than 35%.

What kind of websites do you build?

We build sites whose job is to produce enquiries or sales, and we plan each one around the searches and ads that will send people to it.

Site typeWhat goes into itUsually right for
Service business siteA page per service and area, quote and call options on every page, Google Business Profile linksTrades, consultants, agencies, B2B firms
Clinic websiteTreatment pages, practitioner profiles, booking and WhatsApp, consent-friendly galleriesDental, aesthetic and medical practices
Online storeCategory and product templates, product schema, filters that do not create duplicate pages, GA4 ecommerce eventsBrands selling direct
Ad landing pagesOne offer, one form, fast load, tracking matched to the ad platformGoogle Ads and Meta campaigns
Redesign or migrationURL mapping, redirects, content carried over, launch checksSites that already rank and cannot afford to lose it

Why have an SEO and ads team build your website?

Because the expensive mistakes happen at launch, and designers are rarely the people who see the damage. We have cleaned up after these more than once: a migration that deleted ranked pages without redirects, a site where blog posts outranked the service pages that were meant to sell, a store whose filters produced thousands of near-identical URLs.

When the people who will run your SEO and Google Ads are also the people building the site, the page structure follows real search demand, the forms feed the same tracking the ads optimize against, and nobody has to retrofit schema or redirects six months later. In one recovery project, restoring redirects for pages lost in a migration, fixing internal links and adding proper hreflang helped a bilingual brand regain its US and Canadian rankings within a few months. Read that case.

How does a website project run?

  • Intro call: what the site needs to achieve, and what the current one gets wrong.
  • Discovery: keyword research and a page map, so every page has a search or an ad to serve. For redesigns we also pull analytics and, where possible, heatmaps, which is how the ChenOne problems were found.
  • Design: mobile layouts first, built around the action you want, with your real content rather than placeholder text.
  • Build: clean templates, compressed images, structured data, accessible forms, and as few plugins and scripts as the site can manage.
  • Tracking: GA4 events, call and WhatsApp tracking, ad pixels and server-side events where they help, tested before launch.
  • Launch: a crawl of the staging site, a redirect map for every old URL that earns traffic or links, and a check of indexing in Search Console.
  • After launch: we watch rankings, crawl errors and conversions for the first weeks and fix what shows up.

What does every site include?

Every build ships with a page structure based on search demand, one H1 and a clear title on every page, structured data that matches the content, an XML sitemap and a sensible robots.txt, image compression and lazy loading, mobile layouts tested on real phone widths, working forms that reach your inbox or CRM, call and WhatsApp buttons that are counted, and GA4 set up to record leads or sales. If you advertise, the conversion events are ready for Google Ads and Meta on day one.

Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?

It can, and that is the most common way businesses lose organic traffic. Rankings belong to URLs and their content. Change the URLs without redirects, drop pages that earned links, or strip the text that answered the search, and the rankings go with them.

We crawl the current site before anything changes, list every URL with clicks or links, keep or improve the content that ranks, map old URLs to new ones, crawl the staging site before launch and monitor indexing afterwards. Our technical SEO and corporate SEO pages cover migrations in more depth.

Which platform should we build on?

We choose the platform for the business, not the other way round. WordPress suits most service businesses and clinics because the team can edit pages without a developer. Shopify suits most stores because checkout, payments and stock are handled for you; our Shopify SEO page covers its search quirks. A custom build makes sense when the site needs something neither does well, and we will tell you if we think you are paying for complexity you do not need.

Who is this not a good fit for?

If you need a one-page placeholder this week, a template and a free builder will serve you better than a project with discovery and tracking. And if nobody on your side can supply content, answer questions or approve pages, a build will stall however good the plan is. We would rather say that on the first call.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the number of pages and templates, how much content we write, the design work, integrations such as booking systems, CRMs or payment providers, and whether we are migrating a site that already ranks. We scope it after the discovery call and give you a fixed list of what is included. Get in touch for a quote.

Questions we get asked

How long does it take to build a website?

A small service site moves faster than a store or a migration. We give a timeline after discovery, once we know the number of pages, the content and the integrations.

Do you write the website content?

Yes, if you want us to. We write from your input and the keyword research, and you approve every page. Clinical and legal statements are approved by you or your specialist.

Will my rankings drop after a redesign?

Not if the migration is planned. We map every old URL that earns traffic or links, carry over the content that ranks and check indexing after launch.

Can you redesign without changing our URLs?

Usually, yes. Keeping URLs is the safest option when they already rank, and we only change them when there is a clear reason.

WordPress or Shopify?

WordPress for most service businesses and clinics, Shopify for most stores. We will recommend a custom build only when the site needs it.

Do you set up tracking?

Yes. GA4, call and WhatsApp tracking, and ad conversion events are part of every build and are tested before launch.

Can you look after the site after launch?

Yes. We agree the scope of ongoing care, such as updates, fixes and content changes, per project.

What does a website cost?

We scope each project after discovery and list what is included, so get in touch for a quote.

Ready for a site that earns its keep?

Send us your current site, or tell us what the new one needs to do. We will say what we would keep, what we would change and why.
